The untouched beauty of Iceland immediately captivated us when we arrived in Reykjavik. Our hotel, the „Nordic Lights“, was the perfect retreat. The modern decor and the view of the impressive mountains made every morning an experience.

A personal highlight was our trip to the Blue Lagoon. In the middle of the surreal lava landscape, we relaxed in the milky-blue water. It felt as if we were in another world. Paul and I held hands as the vapors floated around us – an unforgettable moment of intimacy.

As a special experience, we chased the northern lights. A guided tour took us out into the wilderness, and although we were initially skeptical, we were rewarded: The lights danced across the sky – a sea of colors that took our breath away. It was as if nature itself embraced us.

A secret tip that we discovered is the small café „Café Loki“. Here you can find the best Icelandic breakfast we’ve ever had. The combination of smoked fish, fresh bread, and the legendary Skyr makes your mouth water.

At the end of our trip, we can only recommend Reykjavik. The mix of nature, culture, and warm-hearted people deeply touched us. We will definitely be back!
